Cookie Policy
valkyra | Effective date: 3 April 2026 | Controller: Recberry s.r.o.
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy describes how Recberry s.r.o. uses cookies and similar technologies on the valkyra website (the "Service"). Read this together with our Privacy Policy.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage. They can be session-based (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent (kept until they expire or you delete them).
3. How valkyra uses them
3.1 Essential / strictly necessary — needed for security, load balancing, or core functionality of the site. Under ePrivacy rules, these typically do not require consent. Example: HTTP-only session cookie if we add authenticated features in the future.
Anonymous free-scan limit — Name: valkyra_anonymous_quota. Purpose: tracks whether the free scan has been used on this browser to enforce the one free scan limit. HttpOnly; Secure in production; SameSite=Lax; expires after 13 months. This cookie is essential to the service and cannot be disabled without breaking the free scan feature.
3.2 Local storage (notice acknowledgment) — we may store a small flag (e.g. valkyra_cookie_notice_ack) when you dismiss the cookie notice so it does not reappear every visit. This remembers your choice about informational notices; it is not used for advertising.
3.3 Analytics (Microsoft Clarity) — we do not use advertising cookies on valkyra. After you dismiss this cookie notice, we may load Microsoft Clarity: it helps us see how the site is used (for example heatmaps and session replays) to improve the product. Clarity may set cookies or use storage on your device; it is not used to show you ads. Details are in Microsoft’s Clarity documentation and privacy information.
4. Third parties
Hosting providers (for example Vercel) may set technical cookies as part of delivering the site. Where Clarity is enabled, Microsoft may set cookies or use similar technologies for analytics as described in section 3.3. Third-party content embedded now or in the future may set their own cookies — see their policies. AI or search API providers do not place marketing cookies in your browser through valkyra by default.
5. Managing preferences
You can block or delete cookies and clear local storage in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, parts of the Service may not work. Use your browser’s help documentation for step-by-step instructions.
