1. About valkyra
valkyra is a child digital safety scanning service operated by Recberry s.r.o. It allows parents and guardians to discover what publicly available information is accessible about their child's social media profiles, and to understand potential risks associated with that public exposure.
valkyra is an informational tool only. It does not guarantee completeness of results. Social media platforms change their structure, block automated access, and restrict data availability without notice. Scan results reflect what was publicly accessible at the time of the scan and should not be treated as a definitive or exhaustive assessment.
2. Who May Use This Service
You must be at least 18 years old to use valkyra. By submitting a scan you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child whose profiles you are submitting, or that you have explicit permission from that child's parent or guardian to do so.
You may not use valkyra to scan profiles of individuals without their parent's or guardian's knowledge and consent. You may not use valkyra for surveillance, harassment, or any purpose other than the child safety assessment for which it is designed.
3. Free and Paid Services
Layer 1 (free): One free scan per device or browser, tracked via a secure HttpOnly cookie that persists for 13 months, no account required. Shows publicly discoverable information from submitted profiles including risk score, data findings, cross-platform presence, and actionable recommendations.
Layer 2 (paid): A one-time payment of €4.99 including VAT unlocks a deeper analysis for one child profile. This includes OSINT discovery, reverse image search, web presence analysis, and a predator approach simulation based on the actual public data found. Layer 2 is a one-time digital service delivered immediately upon payment.
Prices include applicable VAT. VAT is calculated based on your country of residence in accordance with EU digital services rules. Stripe handles payment processing and currency conversion.
4. Right of Withdrawal — Important Notice
Layer 2 is a digital service that is fully performed immediately upon your payment. In accordance with Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive, you lose your right of withdrawal once the analysis has been delivered. Before proceeding to payment you will be asked to explicitly acknowledge this by checking a mandatory confirmation box. If you do not check this box, payment will not proceed.
If Layer 2 fails to deliver results due to a technical error on our side, contact barbora@recberry.com within 14 days for a full refund. Refunds are not available where the analysis was successfully delivered, regardless of whether you found the results useful.
5. What We Scan and How
valkyra retrieves only publicly accessible information from the URLs you submit. We do not log in to any platform, circumvent privacy settings, or access any data that is not publicly visible to any anonymous internet user.
We use third-party services to assist with analysis:
- Google Custom Search API — web presence discovery
- SerpApi — reverse image search
- Google Gemini and Anthropic Claude — AI-powered risk analysis and report generation
- Stripe — payment processing
- MongoDB Atlas — data storage
By using valkyra you acknowledge that scan results depend on what these third-party services return and that results may be incomplete, delayed, or unavailable when any of these services experience outages or impose rate limits.
6. Your Data
We store scan reports in our database to deliver your results. For paid scans we store your email address (collected by Stripe at checkout), the Stripe session ID, payment timestamp, and whether you opted in to product update emails.
We do not sell your data or your child's data to any third party. We do not use scan results for advertising.
For full details on what data we process, how long we retain it, and your GDPR rights including the right to access, correct, and delete your data, see our Privacy Policy.
To request deletion of your scan data, email barbora@recberry.com with the subject line "Data deletion request."
7. Product Update Emails
During checkout you may optionally check a box to receive emails when valkyra improves Layer 2, releases Layer 3, or ships significant updates. This is entirely optional and does not affect your purchase. You may unsubscribe at any time by emailing barbora@recberry.com or clicking the unsubscribe link in any such email. The lawful basis for this processing is your explicit consent.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
valkyra is provided as-is. We make no warranty that scans are complete, accurate, or current. We make no warranty that the service will be available without interruption. AI-generated findings are based on publicly available data and automated analysis — they are not the opinion of a qualified child safety professional and should not be treated as such.
If you have serious concerns about your child's safety, contact your local law enforcement or a qualified child protection organisation.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Recberry s.r.o.'s total liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of valkyra shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Czech law.
10. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by Czech law. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of valkyra shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Municipal Court in Prague.
If you are an EU consumer, you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated version at this URL with a new effective date. Continued use of valkyra after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. For material changes affecting paid services, we will notify users by email where we hold a contact address.
